Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

PolyPath is a private network built on trust and respect. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out how we expect everyone to behave. It applies to all activity on PolyPath — profiles, posts, replies, direct messages, connection requests, and any content you upload.

1. Be respectful

  • Treat other members with courtesy, even when you disagree.
  • Assume good intent. Debate ideas, not people.
  • Keep interactions on-topic and constructive in discussion channels.

2. Zero tolerance

You must not post, send, share, or link to any content, or take any action, that:

  • Harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates, stalks, or doxxes another person.
  • Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Sexualises or endangers minors in any way.
  • Contains sexually explicit or gratuitously violent material.
  • Encourages self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities.
  • Is illegal under the laws of Singapore or your own country.

3. Honesty and identity

  • Use your real name, or a name you consistently use professionally.
  • Do not impersonate another person, brand, or organisation.
  • Do not create fake accounts, sockpuppets, or multiple accounts to evade moderation.
  • Represent your skills, experience, and credentials honestly.

4. Privacy and other people

  • Do not share private information about other members (contact details, private messages, photos) without their consent.
  • Do not scrape, harvest, or export member data — including profiles, posts, or the member directory — for use outside PolyPath.
  • Do not use PolyPath to build a mailing list, CRM, or lead database.

5. Spam and unwanted contact

  • No unsolicited sales pitches, cold offers, or recruitment mass-messaging.
  • No repeated connection requests or messages after someone has declined or ignored you.
  • No off-platform funnels, affiliate spam, chain messages, or pyramid/MLM promotion.
  • Skill swaps, collaboration invitations, and thoughtful, personalised outreach are welcome.

6. Intellectual property

  • Only post content you own or have permission to share.
  • Do not infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
  • Credit sources where appropriate.

7. Security and technical abuse

Do not:

  • Attempt to hack, probe, or disrupt PolyPath or its infrastructure.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to sign up, message members, post content, or extract data.
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or subscription/entitlement checks.
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code from the app.

8. Fraud and misuse of payments

  • Do not use stolen or unauthorised payment methods.
  • Do not chargeback legitimate charges instead of contacting Support.
  • Do not exploit trials or refunds in bad faith.

9. Reporting problems

If you see content or behaviour that breaks this AUP, please report it through the Support page. Include links or screenshots if you can. We take reports seriously and treat them as confidentially as we reasonably can.

10. What happens when someone breaks the rules

Depending on the severity and history, we may:

  • Remove the offending content.
  • Give a warning.
  • Restrict features such as messaging or the ability to post.
  • Suspend the account temporarily.
  • Terminate the account permanently, without refund, and block the person from creating a new one.
  • Report the behaviour to law enforcement where required or appropriate.

11. Changes

We may update this AUP as the community grows. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of PolyPath after changes means you accept them.
